Our first night out!! Thanks to Jodi, Giovanni was in excellent hands. As an update, Gio went to the doctor on Tuesday for his checkup and he is 8 pounds 1 ounce!! He's gaining just fine. Also, we finally got Gio to realize that the nighttime is for sleeping. He only wakes up twice (about 1 am and 5 am), but mom and dad get to sleep in the same bed again!!! (I don't know how excited Dad is about that). Other than that, he is really moving his head well and loves to stretch out his arms and legs, if you haven't noticed from the pictures. I'm finally getting sleep and dad is back to work. We are all doing well.
Giovanni has been much more alert and active this past week. He can focus on objects in front of him and is able to entertain himself in his bouncer. We have had many more successful nights of sleep. Infact, last night he slept enough where mom got a total of 8 hours (not consecutive). We had a big week with a trip to Chicago for Cole's 2nd Birthday party and will be headed to Fort Wayne to meet all of the Pauls on Saturday. Today we plan to head to the mall for some shopping.
