Thanksgiving with the Vazzana's

For some reason the boys had their shirts off.

Lucia had to watch all the action.

We went up to the wilderness again this weekend. We decided to leave around 3:30 am on Thursday morning so we would have plenty of time to help cook dinner. We thought Gio would go right back to sleep once we very carefully placed him in his carseat. I think we did a good job, but it was so cold outside that he woke up. He was up for a long time!!! However, he was completely content. We used the portable DVD for the first time in the car, even though George didn't think it would work. Well 4 times watching "Finding Nemo" I'm here to tell you it did work. I am heading to Target tomorrow to buy a plethera of DVDs to bring down to Florida with us. Yep, we are still planning to drive. We will leave Thursday after I get home from work, around 5:00 and head down to Linda and Rex's house. We need to see Hoosier (he's been with them since Wednesday) and give Gio some run around time. Our plan is to leave right around his bedtime (8:30) and drive to Atlanta. Depending on how tired we are, we may crash for a few hours with my cousin Julie before we head down to Orlando. At least there is a light at the end of the tunnel, a nice vacation. (I do have to go to the conference 4 of the days), but the rest is relaxation. We'll we've got a busy short week this week before we are gone again. Hope everyone had a great turkey day and I'll have plenty of pics of Gio in Disney!!

Thanksgiving with the Pauls

Noah and Giovanni reading the trucks and tractors book that Grandma got for Gio. It was a hit!!

George wanted to be like his dad in more than name, hair too.

Grandpa reading the boys a book.

In about 30 seconds Gio falls asleep for his afternoon nap.

And the table it set!!

Hanging around the house

Giovanni made an Indian hat at school. He colored the feathers. So talented.

New obsession, he likes to try on everyones shoes!! Especially mine.

What a happy little boy!! 11-12-08

Giovanni moved up to the busy bee room last week and I think we are already seeing a difference. He is chatting a lot more. He can now say:
Mama
Dada
Hello
Hello mama
Hello dada
Hello papa
Wow
Shoes (one of our favorite)
Uh-oh
No (and now he can shake his head)
Hoosier (although probably only George and I can understand that)
I think that is it, if I think of more I'll add later. He gets to play NON-STOP and so he comes home and crashes at night. He barely makes it to 8:00 some nights. George and I were remembering the days when we would pray for him to go to bed. Thank goodness that lasts for a short amount of time. Other than that, he is adjusting really well to his new room and his new friends. Gio loves to dance (and shake his butt)! His teachers say that even when they sing songs like, "itsy bitsy spider" Gio dances along. They love it!! We've got a busy couple of weeks ahead. We are planning thanksgiving dinner with the Pauls next weekend, then back to the Wilderness with the Vazzanas and Flordia the following week!!! Busy, busy!!

Wisconsin Dells

We had a lot of fun, but not many pictures. I guess it's hard when you are in a waterpark to take lots of pictures. Gio did pretty well. He liked the wave pool and the lazy river. Mom and dad took him down some slides, but he was still a bit unsure. He really enjoyed "dodg 'em city" They had a toddler area to climb and slide (no water involved). We can't wait to go back for Thanksgiving.

Halloween Pics

We didn't really dress up for Halloween this year since we were up in Wisconsin. We did however allow Yoda to parade around the house for many days. Mom cared the pumpkin with his name in the mouth. It was in our window for everyone to see.
