Sunday, September 28 - Apple picking in South Haven

We rode the horse drawn wagon to the back of the orchard. How far was it?? 100 feet or so.

Just finished lunch, let's go pick some apples!

First of many tastes of the different varieties. Gio liked them all!

Time to make the wine!

Lucia's 1st Birthday Party!

Gio and I stayed at Uncle Nick and Aunt Kristin's house. Cole and Giovanni were busy playing in the morning

Cole was giving Giovanni a big kiss!

What should I play with next?

Aunt Gigi and Nico. He is such a love!

Aunt Erika was so creative, she made Lucia's beautiful cake out of fondant!

The princess eating her cupcake.

The happy parents.

September 14, 2008

I was making breakfast this morning and Gio was laying on his stomach watching Mickey Mouse. It's crazy he watches nothing on tv, but as soon as Mickey comes on he is glued (He does like the theme music to Rachel Ray, I can't explain it but he dances everytime it comes on!!)

Just a happy guy on his way home from school. We are moving into the brand new center tomorrow.

Like everyone else in the area, we got dumped on with rain this weekend. Thankfully, I had just gone through all of the clothes from Uncle Mark and Aunt Erika and found a rain coat!

Giovanni finally got a haircut. He lost the curls, hated EVERY minute of it, but it looks so nice. That's #4 for those of you who are counting.

We went and babysat for Baby Abby so Morgan and Holly could have a date. Just like Hoosier, Brady was right there in the middle of everything.

Giovanni and I met up with my dad, Barb, Mr and Mrs Musselman, and Frannie to watch Billy's team play in the playoffs. Billy's team won and he signed a game ball for Gio. This experience at the park was much better than George and my attempt. Could it have something to do with Papa Phill buying Gio elephant ears, french fries, dove bar...........etc. etc. We really had a great time and Gio stayed up even past his bed time.

Obivously our child, starting to learn to clean at such a young age.

George wanted to buy a new refrigerator for the basement so we went to Home depot. Gio loved the racecar cart (it was a bit rough for mom to steer, but Gio had fun)

After we went to Noodles and company and Giovanni ate and ate and ate and ate. I couldn't cut up the pasta fast enough. He's definitely an Italian boy.

So, my camera is in the process of getting sent in to get fixed. Apparently, it has to get fixed twice before I can get a "replacement". I'm done with Kodak, for those of you thinking of purchasing a new camera, stay away. You can tell from the "high quality" of my camera phone that I am eager for my camera back.

Thing here are going really well. The basement is about 98% done. We now have the bathroom functioning. Besides some doorknobs, we just need to buy bedroom furniture. The majority of Giovanni's toys are downstairs. He has a whole playroom now. He loves to climb on things. I don't know where he gets it from. He says "uh oh" quite often and now says "no". I think hearing him say no is the cutest thing, but I try not to laugh, I don't want to encourage no. He's starting to run, or his interpretation of running. We absolutely adore him. He's been sleeping so good. About 11 hours at night (lately, close to 12) and a solid 2-2.5 hr nap in the afternoon. I can't seem to get him to eat a ton of veggies, but he loves his meats, cheese, and fruit. It's crazy how fast he is growing. Hopefully my next post will include new pictures from my camera.

I'm doing what I can without a camera

We had a firetruck come to our neighborhood picnic. I think, again, Dad was more interested in the truck than Giovanni.

Whenever Gio needs a break he scopes out Hoosier and relaxes on him. He loves kissing, hugging, and harassing Hoosier. Good thing we have such a good dog.

It was really cold out this morning, so I had to put Gio's new coat from papa phill on him. Nothing like a coat and flipflops.

Gio and I went to South Haven this weekend to hang out with the Vazzanas. Aunt Rosemary, Uncle Al, Philly and Gio and I went berry picking. I found out Gio LOVES raspberries. He was so funny, as I was picking he was taking them out of the pints and eating them. Hence, the picture with berries ALL OVER!! He had such a good time and how can you get mad at that face!!

So, once again I am without a camera. I have to get it fixed. This is the second time and I am very unhappy. So, all pictures here are from my phone (you can probably notice the bad resolution, but I am trying to keep you updated with what Gio is up to now.) I hope all is well to everyone. We are just winding down the summer, although I think the Fall is almost as busy.
